HOW WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

The Dog Hub collects personal information when you make contact by email, sms, telephone, completing a registration form and on occasion, for the Community Project, through a referral from a statutory body. The personal information we collect can include your name and contact details (including email address and phone number).

YOUR PERSONAL DATA

We may collect and store your identity data (title, first name, last name); contact data (address, email and telephone numbers); transaction data (the courses / consultations you carry out with us). Data is collected for a specific and legitimate purpose. It will not be used for anything other than this stated purpose. It will be processed lawfully and fairly. Children under 16 cannot give consent and we may seek this consent from a parent or guardian verified as allowed to do so. Such statements will be written in language that children can understand. We record training sessions by GoPro for purposes of quality control, monitoring outputs and safety.

HOW WILL WE USE INFORMATION ABOUT YOU?

We will only use your personal information to carry out the services you have purchased from us and to comply with legal obligations. We will not disclose personal data without your consent. However, in some circumstances there will be a need to disclose information without consent. Typically this will be for the prevention of crime, fraud, terrorist activity, safeguarding young and vulnerable people, and community safety. We will never lease, distribute or sell your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or the law requires us to. We will only contact you for marketing purposes if you have sent us an email asking us to do so.

DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA

On occasion we may have to share your personal data with The Police, local authorities, Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC), the courts and any other government authority if they ask us to do so, and only if us doing so is lawful.

DATA SECURITY

A lot of the information you send us reaches us electronically. Once it arrives at The Dog Hub, we will take the security of your information very seriously, but no method of electronic security is 100% secure. This privacy policy does not cover any links from our website linking to other websites. Please read the privacy statements on any other websites you visit.

HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION FOR?

To make sure we meet our legal data protection and privacy obligations, we only hold on to your information for as long as we actually need it for the purposes we acquired it for in the first place. If you register on one of our courses, book a one-to-one or behaviour consultation, we will keep your details on file to be able to deliver efficient services to you. These details will be kept on a "need to know basis" and retained for a set period. Once that period has expired, the data is securely disposed of and is unrecoverable. That period is often the lifetime of your dog. No credit/debit card or bank account details of our customers are ever retained. In some circumstances you can ask us to delete your data. This will be reviewed at least yearly.

TO ACCESS and UPDATE YOUR INFORMATION or REQUEST REMOVAL

Under certain circumstances, by law you have the right to request access to your personal information that we hold about you and/or ask for it to be removed. We will only remove data we hold on you if we are not legally obliged to retain it (e.g. for tax or contractual purposes). We will ask you to provide formal proof of identity before releasing, editing or removing any of your information. We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online and will take all reasonable technical and organisastional precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information.
